Diese herrliche Orchidee hat zwar einen ähnlichen Namen wie die Cymbidium ist aber nicht verwandt mit ihr und hat auch andere Pflegebedingunen. Der Habitus ist sehr gross. Also wenn man Platzmangel ist sie nicht zu empfehlen. Die Infloreszenz ist einzigartig. Es können sich mehr als 10 Blüten am Stängel entwickeln und sie duftet wunderbar.Ich halte diese Orchidee am Westfenster, giesse im Sommer kräftig und halte sie im Winter trockener. Vom Frühjahr bis zum Herbst wird alle 2 Wochen gedüngt. Umtopfen mag sie gar nicht. Es kann dann sein, dass sie für eine lange Zeit nicht mehr blüht. Man sollte also einen genung grossen Topf wählen damit man nicht so schnell umtopfen muss.
This fantastic orchid has a similiar name like the Cymbidium but is very different to the Cymbidium in care. The habitat is very big. So, if you don't have enough space, I wouldn't suggest that you buy this orchid. The inflorescence is magnificent. There can be up to 10 ore more flowers at one pedicule and the perfume is wonderful. I keep it facing west, water it quite well during the summer but keep it dryer in wintertime. I feed it twice per month from spring to autumn. It doens't like to be repotted. It can be that it doesn't give flowers for a while. So, take a pot enough big to leave it undisturbed for a long time.
